PostgreSQL Database Administrator

Description: Seeking a hands-on PostgreSQL DBA to manage database services across on-premises infrastructure and GCP. Responsibilities include production operations, migration from Community PostgreSQL to EDB Postgres, high-availability standardization, database consolidation, and operational automation. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or related field preferred; 2+ years of relevant experience acceptable in lieu of degree. Minimum 5+ years of hands-on PostgreSQL administration in production environments. Experience with EDB Postgres, EFM, Barman, PEM, TPA, and PostgreSQL monitoring using Prometheus and Grafana. Strong understanding of PostgreSQL HA design, streaming replication, and backup validation. Proficient in SQL performance tuning, Linux administration, Ansible, Git, and cloud environments (GCP/AWS). Benefits: Full-time remote position based in the U.K. Target compensation package between GBP 50,000 and 54,000, subject to internal equity and experience.
