Website Designer – WordPress, Webflow, Figma & UI/UX | Remote Position Type: Full-Time, Remote Working Hours: U.S. Client Business Hours Location: Remote — LATAM, South Africa, Philippines & Pakistan Preferred About the Role At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a creative and technically capable Website Designer to design, build, and optimize modern, responsive, and conversion-focused websites. This is not purely a graphic design role. You’ll combine UI/UX design with hands-on website implementation , taking projects from wireframes and visual concepts through CMS development, responsive testing, SEO optimization, and ongoing improvements. You’ll work across platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, and Squarespace , while using Figma and front-end technologies like HTML and CSS to create polished digital experiences. If you have a strong eye for design, understand how websites support conversions, and can both design and build , this role is a strong fit. What You’ll Own Website Design & UI/UX Create wireframes, mockups, and responsive website designs using: Figma Adobe XD Sketch Design modern: Landing pages Marketing websites Business websites Campaign pages Apply strong UI/UX principles around: Visual hierarchy Typography Spacing Navigation Usability Conversion-focused design Translate business and marketing requirements into intuitive website experiences Maintain consistency with established brand guidelines and design systems Ensure designs work effectively across desktop, tablet, and mobile CMS Development & Website Builds Build and customize websites using: WordPress Webflow Shopify Squarespace Customize themes, templates, and page layouts Use HTML and CSS for custom implementations and styling Apply light JavaScript customization when needed Configure: Forms Plugins Integrations Tracking tools Website widgets Build reusable components and scalable CMS structures Translate approved Figma or design files into functional web pages Website Performance & SEO Optimize websites for: Page speed Mobile responsiveness Accessibility SEO User experience Implement on-page SEO fundamentals, including: Metadata Heading structures Image optimization Schema basics Run performance audits using: Google Lighthouse PageSpeed Insights GTmetrix Identify and resolve issues affecting website speed, performance, and usability Maintain SEO-friendly website structures and page layouts Testing, QA & Maintenance Test websites across: Desktop Mobile Tablets Major browsers Troubleshoot: Responsive design issues Formatting problems Plugin conflicts CMS issues Perform routine website updates and maintenance Review pages carefully before publishing Ensure websites remain stable, secure, responsive, and fully functional Catch visual and functional inconsistencies before they reach users Marketing & Content Collaboration Collaborate with marketing, content, and leadership teams Build landing pages supporting: Lead generation Marketing campaigns Product launches Implement stakeholder feedback quickly and accurately Maintain organized design assets and reusable website components Support ongoing website optimization based on business and marketing needs Requirements 2+ years of professional website design experience Strong proficiency with Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch Hands-on experience with one or more of: WordPress Webflow Shopify Squarespace Strong HTML and CSS skills Experience building responsive websites Experience optimizing websites for performance and mobile devices Strong understanding of modern website UI/UX principles Ability to translate designs into functional website experiences Strong attention to detail and quality assurance Ability to manage multiple website projects and priorities simultaneously Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment Availability during U.S. client business hours Preferred Experience Shopify or WooCommerce experience Basic JavaScript/front-end development knowledge Familiarity with: Google Analytics Google Tag Manager SEO tools Experience with SaaS, agencies, or e-commerce brands Landing page and conversion optimization experience Understanding of SEO-friendly website architecture Tools & Technology Figma | WordPress | Webflow | Shopify | Squarespace | HTML | CSS | JavaScript | Adobe XD | Sketch | WooCommerce | Google Lighthouse | PageSpeed Insights | GTmetrix | Google Analytics | Google Tag Manager | SEO Tools What Makes You a Strong Fit You’ll likely thrive in this role if you: Combine a strong visual design eye with practical website-building skills Understand both UI/UX and website implementation Can balance aesthetics with performance, SEO, usability, and conversions Are highly detail-oriented and quickly catch visual or responsive inconsistencies Can manage multiple website projects simultaneously Communicate clearly and work effectively with marketing and content teams Can take a website from concept through implementation and QA Implement feedback accurately without losing design consistency Work independently and take ownership of deliverables What a Typical Day Looks Like Your day might start by designing a new landing page in Figma or translating an approved design into WordPress or Webflow. Throughout the day, you could customize layouts using HTML and CSS, optimize website speed and mobile responsiveness, run Lighthouse or PageSpeed audits, test pages across devices and browsers, and implement stakeholder revisions. You may also support marketing campaigns by launching new pages or troubleshoot CMS, plugin, or formatting issues across existing websites.
