Staff Software Engineer

Description: Position open to candidates worldwide, allowing remote work. Role involves optimizing web traffic processing and delivery at scale on an edge computing platform. Work on a system handling tens of thousands of requests per second and significant e-commerce volume. Technical leadership in architecture and design, collaborating with CTO and lead platform engineer. Requirements: 10 years of software engineering experience with a focus on high-traffic, multi-tenant web platforms. Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python. Experience designing and operating distributed, high-availability systems. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and CDN infrastructure. Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehouses. Knowledge of message queues and CI/CD pipelines. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Active use of AI coding tools in engineering workflow. Strong English communication skills and availability for Eastern Standard Time hours. Legally authorized to work as an independent contractor in the location of residence. Benefits: Salary range: $9,000 to $12,000 USD per month. Paid Time Off (PTO): 15 days.
