Staff Data Scientist - Wildfire

Description: Lead the scientific foundation of the Fuel Detection Model to assess vegetation structure, fuel loads, and wildfire risk using satellite and environmental data. Collaborate with ML engineers and product teams to define model accuracy, research methodologies, and ensure alignment with fire science principles. Requirements: 8+ years of experience in wildfire science, fire ecology, forestry, remote sensing, or related fields. Expertise in remote sensing, geospatial analysis, and statistical modeling using Python (GeoPandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, XGBoost).
