Engineer II, Data

The Engineer II will join the HQR Data Team, working remotely to support the Hospital Quality Reporting program at CMS. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Strong experience with Python / Apache Spark (non-negotiable). Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, orchestration, and distributed computing. Familiarity with software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms. Experience with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. Strong problem-solving, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. Related experience in analytic programming, data extraction, and querying databases/data warehouses. US Citizenship or Green Card required for public trust background check.
