Cash Application Specialist with Spanish language - fully remote (fixed term)

Our client is a fast-growing, agile international consulting firm headquartered in the United Kingdom. They’ve been focusing on optimizing processes centricity and technology. One of the many areas they are focusing on is to design and implement next generation activities- reformulating operating models, optimising processes and installing automation. This role is critical to ensuring the precision and efficiency of our global cash application cycle. The successful candidate will own the timely and accurate allocation of incoming customer payments, proactively resolve payment discrepancies, and partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain impeccable ledger integrity. Your tasks will include: Process and allocate high-volume incoming customer payments with speed and precision. Perform daily cash and bank reconciliations, process remittances, and ensure customer account balances are accurately maintained. Proactively investigate unapplied cash, resolve payment discrepancies, and clear outstanding items. Collaborate closely with the Collections, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury teams to resolve complex customer queries. Deliver key reconciliations and reporting to support timely and accurate month-end close operations. Consistently meet or exceed established SLA and KPI targets regarding processing time and accuracy. Actively identify bottlenecks and suggest opportunities to streamline Cash Application workflows. To be a good fit for the Cash Application Specialist, you will have: Can join immediately Proven track record in a dedicated Cash Application or Cash Allocation role, managing high-volume transaction environments. Hands-on experience working within SAP or SAP S/4HANA. Solid experience in bank reconciliations, remittance processing, and payment investigation. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables). Full professional fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to partner effectively with international stakeholders. Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with cash application automation software, ideally Esker. Experience working within a multinational corporate structure or a Global Shared Services (GBS) environment. Exposure to continuous improvement frameworks and process optimization initiatives.
